Mt Baldy via Lytle Creek this last Saturday was an adventure that most skier types would pass up unless one would want to take a very scenic route that involves rock climbing, bushwacking, wading through the Creek, and traversing cavernous areas of ice and snow.

Jake Faller and Kevin Matchett came with me and enjoyed the climb up -- but had enough going one way and decided to take the trail and road back. I had to devour the snow by myself which I very cheerfully did in the excellent Springtime conditions.

Breaking in new boots on this trip was a little hard on the feet, but duct tape and wads of paper towels saved the day.
