The plane had climbed nearly 10,000' from sea level into the land of glaciers. Martin steered the plane right into the top of the volcano which was a real IMAX experience.
What if the old Cessna would fail? But Martin was as sure as being close to Grizzly bears. In the last moment he veered to the side. But the adrenaline continued to flow.

The glaciers below us had huge crevasses. A peak climb would be a major expedition.

Compare the size of the crevasses with the shadow of our plane in the right bottom corner. It could easily vanish in a crevasse.

The slopes of the volcano is a landscape of sliding ice and rocks. Notice the round rainbow in the right bottom corner, caused by ice crystals in thin cold clouds.
